Investing in Innovation & Inspiration
An investment in our children is an investment in our future.
Being the daughter of a retired Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction, Robin values the immense efforts and promise of a public school education. Likewise, Robin has a passion for helping people realize their potential and grow into the direction of their dreams, and education can make or break that mentality. She also values the importance of living life in community and is energized by people. Robin has found that the most meaningful occurrences in her life have come by people, to people, and through people.
For Robin serving the Education Foundation is more than handing out money. It represents a life lived in service to others as they realize their capacity. To Robin, “until people see in themselves all that they can be, all is for naught, as they simply go through the motions of the daily grind of a classroom, school, or department within VISD.”
She also admits that anything significant in her life is the result of a team effort. “I alone have done some amazing things, like run a marathon, for example, but in retrospect, the most profoundly phenomenal events have occurred when a force is combined to generate success”! Whether it be her time as a plant researcher, as a science teacher, as an executive director for a ministry, as a grant writer, or even now as the leader of the Foundation, Robin continues to see the same product, “For when people rally together, bring their best gifts, talents, insights, and humility to the game, there is no stopping the force that is built with a contagious momentum that keeps the organization and systems running”.
“So, bring your best self today. Each day our best will be different, but with consistency and passion, results and transformation will come.”
